Description
The Israeli adaptation of the Turkish burek, a certain kind of dough stuffed with savory filling, and is easy to make. The idea is simple. You mix a few ingredients for the filling, roll out the dough, spread the filling in, fold pastry over the filling, roll into a coil and bake. The filling can be a combination of cheeses, a mix of sautéed greens and cheese, roasted eggplant and ground meat or feta, mashed sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes with onions, mushrooms and more. Home Made Gourmet makes these delicious appetizers with mouthwatering potato fillings, but if you would like to create your own, we will support you all the way 🙂
